ROHITH SAKTHY CAPTIVATES UK AUDIENCE WITH HIS MESMERIZING
MELODIES
"ANTARA is not your typical concert. HERD - A GENRE-DEFYING MUSICAL MASH-UP OF EPIC PROPORTIONS
Devised by composer Orlando Gough and produced by Artichoke, HERD took place around Kirklees during July 2023 as part of Kirklees Year of Music. The KYOM23 flagship project was a ground-breaking collaboration between artists, musicians and hundreds of schoolchildren and community members.

A COMPOSITION by a final year sound engineering student at the University of Huddersfield stole the show at Europe’s Sixth 3D Audio Production Competition after being awarded gold in the category ‘Music Recording/Studio Production’ and was the only UK student on the winning roster.

Tune Into Nature Music Prize Winner 2021 Announced
"These winners include Flo Perlin, a contemporary Folk singer-songwriter from London with Iraqi and Belarusian heritage; Newcastle-based composer, vocalist, and musical omnivore Catch The Sparrow, and Rohith Sakthy, a singer who was introduced to Indian Carnatic music from the age of four in Kerala, India."

The Sound of Tea
Manasamitra bring their brand-new multi-media work to Kings Place, a musical interpretation of a tea ceremony. The Sound of Tea mixes new live music with lighting, soundscapes and participatory rituals to tell the story of tea. Specially-designed interactive tea tables will create an interactive loop between the audience and performers.
